Thank you very much everyone, for making the "Cakes for Sendai" event so special and for spending such a beautiful sunny Sunday afternoon with us.
We had 220 people and more than 50 cakes!
As of today, the total sum of the money we raised is £4,303 and 5 Euro cents!

*What is Cakes for Sendai?
The event was held on the 10th of April at VSI to raise money to help people in Miyagi Prefecture, which includes the town of Sendai, Risa’s, hometown. This area was one of the worst affected by the tsunami in Japan last month.
The event was kindly supported by the Cake Committee and Postcard Teas, and other generous donors. All the money will be sent to the Donations to Disaster Victims account, which is regulated by the Social Welfare Division, part of the Miyagi Prefectural Government.
